Ingredients

  • Rice noodles (bihon)
  • Chicken, pork, or shrimp
  • Garlic, minced
  • Onion, chopped
  • Carrots, sliced
  • Cabbage, shredded
  • Green beans or pechay
  • Soy sauce
  • Fish sauce (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cooking oil
  • Chicken broth or water
  • Calamansi (optional, for serving)

Procedure

  1. Soak rice noodles in water until softened, then drain.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or pan and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  3. Add meat or shrimp and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, fish sauce if using, and broth or water, then bring to a simmer.
  5. Add noodles and toss until softened and coated with sauce.
  6. Mix in carrots, cabbage, and green beans, cooking until vegetables are tender but crisp.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot with calamansi on the side.
