A smoky and savory dish made with tender pork ribs marinated in a flavorful barbecue sauce, then grilled or baked until juicy and caramelized.
Ingredients:
- Pork ribs
- Soy sauce
- Garlic, minced
- Onion, chopped
- Brown sugar or honey
- Tomato ketchup
- Banana ketchup (optional, Filipino style)
- Vinegar or calamansi juice
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cooking oil
- Barbecue sauce (for basting)
Procedure:
- Marinate pork ribs in soy sauce, garlic, onion, sugar, ketchup, vinegar or calamansi juice, salt, and pepper for several hours or overnight.
- Heat oil in a pan and sear ribs until lightly browned.
- Transfer ribs to a grill or oven, basting with barbecue sauce while cooking.
- Cook until ribs are tender and sauce is caramelized.
- Serve hot with rice or as a main dish for gatherings.
