A smoky and savory dish made with tender pork ribs marinated in a flavorful barbecue sauce, then grilled or baked until juicy and caramelized.

Ingredients:

  • Pork ribs
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic, minced
  • Onion, chopped
  • Brown sugar or honey
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Banana ketchup (optional, Filipino style)
  • Vinegar or calamansi juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cooking oil
  • Barbecue sauce (for basting)

Procedure:

  1. Marinate pork ribs in soy sauce, garlic, onion, sugar, ketchup, vinegar or calamansi juice, salt, and pepper for several hours or overnight.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sear ribs until lightly browned.
  3. Transfer ribs to a grill or oven, basting with barbecue sauce while cooking.
  4. Cook until ribs are tender and sauce is caramelized.
  5. Serve hot with rice or as a main dish for gatherings.
